Sustainable Success Nudge From Your Future Self

💬 "Your body knows before your mind does."

Sometimes the answer arrives as a feeling long before you can explain it.

Hi Melinda,

I've spent most of my life being very good at thinking.

Analyzing. Strategizing. Problem-solving. Figuring things out.

It's served me incredibly well.

But one of the things my Sound Healing Certification has deepened for me is something I've known for years:

My mind isn't the only place I know things.

Sometimes my body knows first.

It's the breath that suddenly gets deeper. The shoulders that soften. The jaw that softens.

The inexplicable sense of yes before I have any evidence to support it.

Or the quiet no when everything on paper says I should say yes.

My mind usually arrives a little later, wanting an explanation.

And I've learned to let it catch up.

This doesn't mean I stop thinking.

It means I stop requiring my mind to be the first source of information or the only one I trust.

When teaching the entrepreneurs in my business, I told them countless times: “It’s time to get out of your head and into your body so you can bring your full self to everything you’re doing.”

I understand that advice even more deeply now.

Maybe that's one of the reasons the journey from our head to our heart can feel so long.

We're accustomed to asking: "What do I think?"

When sometimes the more interesting question is: "What do I feel?"

So here's something I'd love for you to notice this week.

Before you analyze the next decision...

pause.

What did your body know before your mind got involved?

With presence,
Melinda
