Sustainable Success Nudge from Your Future Self
💬 “Your business (or job) is not your purpose. It’s the vehicle.”
When you remember that, everything starts to flow differently.
Hi Melinda,
Let me offer a perspective that might surprise you.
Most people, when asked what the purpose of their business (or job) is, will say something like:
My purpose is to help people. I’m here to make an impact. I want to serve at a higher level.
And while that may be true…
That’s not the purpose of your business/job.
As Ann Wilson said to me in an interview:
“It’s a mechanism for financial flow… Money needs to flow in, it needs to flow out of it, and it has to get into your life… Because if it's not about enabling money to come through into your life, then it's not a business."
A business (or a job) is a vehicle. A structure that supports flow.
When that gets forgotten, things get heavy.
Hustle feels necessary, force feels justified, and boundaries blur.
Because now it’s personal.
Sustainable success begins with remembering:
Your calling is what you’re here to do. Your business (or job) is the vehicle that supports it.
With clarity, Melinda
