Sustainable Success Nudge From Your Future Self

💬 "Your actions tell the Universe you mean business."

Sometimes the clearest declaration isn't something you say. It's something you do.

Hi Melinda,

Last week, I told you how I began practicing sound healing in my living room.

It was good enough. And for a while, it was exactly what I needed.

Until it wasn't.

As I moved through Level 3 of my certification, something inside me became crystal clear:

This is part of my soul's work now.

Maybe not the only work I'll do. Maybe not even what I'll do full time. But something I want to give my full attention.

And suddenly, squeezing people between my sofa and piano didn't feel quite right anymore.

I could feel a desire emerging.

This work deserves its own space.

Not long after, my hairstylist offered me a vacant room in her beautiful space.

It seemed perfect. I went there and played a session for her in the room. I imagined myself working there.

And...

something didn't land.

I couldn't articulate why. I could only sense it. So I thanked her for the generous offer and kept holding the desire.

About two weeks later, I walked into my home office.

And I saw it differently.

Since retiring from The Coaches Console last summer, we'd turned it into a shared office for Dave and me.

Except... Dave barely used his desk. And I wasn't spending nearly as much time at mine.

I stood there thinking:

Why do we have an entire room dedicated to something we're barely using anymore...while something I'm deeply called to do is squeezed between a sofa and a piano?

Ohhhhh.

THIS was the space.

And once I knew, I moved.

That Friday, I emptied the room. Painted it. Cleaned it thoroughly. Moved furniture. Rehung art. Restyled bookcases.

And as I cleaned, it almost felt as though I was clearing the last remnants of 22 years of business out of the room...making space for what was emerging next.

Two days later, my Sound Sanctuary was born.

Total investment?

$219 in paint and painting supplies.

Everything else was already somewhere in my house.

And yet the room feels like I invested a million dollars in it.

It's spacious. Elegant. Alive. Sacred.

Most importantly… the physical container now matches the energetic container I want to create for the people who come here.

When I shared the transformation with my sound healing class, my classmate said something that stopped me:

"You told the Universe that you mean business."

Yes!

One of my mentors used to say, "The Universe is always listening."

I've believed that for years. But lately, I've been thinking about what the Universe is listening to.

Because sometimes our actions speak much louder than our words.

We can say we're ready. We can journal about what we desire. We can visualize it. We can set the intention.

But there are moments when something shifts because we finally act like we mean it.

And the action doesn't have to be enormous. Sometimes it's $219 worth of paint and a Friday afternoon.

So here's something I'd love for you to notice this week.

What have you been saying you want...that your actions haven't caught up with yet?

Maybe the next step isn't a giant leap. Maybe it's simply one action that says:

I mean it.

With presence,
Melinda
