I’m writing today, Melinda, for one simple reason: unapologetic celebration.

This past Sunday, my first grandbaby, Lily, was born. 
Mom and baby are doing beautifully, and my heart is filled with a deep, profound joy.

Since I was thirteen, I’ve known I wasn’t meant to have children of my own.
That knowing was never heavy—it was simply clear.
I always knew I was here to birth the ripple effect my work would have in the world.

Being a stepmom was perfect.
And now, being Mimi feels just as perfect.

Watching Danielle hold Lily… seeing the love on her face as her life's dream became real…
Words don’t do that experience justice, so I won’t even try.

As I sit in my own season of percolation—allowing what’s next in my life to reveal itself in its own time—this moment of pure, ecstatic celebration feels like a sacred part of that threshold unfolding.

So today, I’m simply sharing joy.
No lesson.
No takeaway.
Just gratitude for new life, new light.
